Property description
Three gites are available according to your requirements. Chardonneret - our bijou, is suitable for a couple, or young family with baby. Héron is our larger, ground-floor gite with all mod cons for the modern family wishing to holiday in France. Hibou is the first-floor gite above Héron. Sleeping up to 7, Hibou is ideal for larger, or extended families. All prices include electricity, gas, towels and bedding for your stay. We provide a unique atmosphere here at Le Chant, with weekly wine-tastings from a respected local domaine on site, daily bread and pastry deliveries and our now famous twice-weekly table d'hotes! Location description
Le Chant d'Oiseau is situated in open countryside in the heart of the Loire Valley, close to Saumur. Open fields to three sides and a lush pine forest to the fourth. No neighbours except the deer and boar, and buzzards soaring high overhead on the warm thermals. Le Chant d'Oiseau also comprises a small campsite, adding to the community aspect. But, there's enough space here to do your own thing, or join in whenever you want. Chateaux visits and wine tasting are not too far away, there's also horse riding through the forests, canoe/kayaking on the many rivers as well as fishing, of course. The area is great for cyclists too. Museums, shopping, golf, restaurants, café/bars are all to be found quite close to Le Chant. Further afield, but within an easy drive is the fantastic Grand Parc Puy du Fou. Unmissable while in this area. For the younger ones, Holly Park is 15 minutes away. There are man-made beaches at Hommes and swimming in the lakes there and at Rillé. Zoos at Doué and La Fleche.
