Situated between Le Mans and Tours, La Grange is one of four gites on the Les Aulnaies gite complex. A recently renovated nineteenth century barn, offering comfortable accommodation for up to six people, close to all amenities.
Property description
Originally a nineteenth century farm building, this tastefully converted barn, retaining many of its original timbers, now comfortably accommodates six people. It is situated in a row of courtyard buildings, which are also converted into gites, therefore offering the possibility to larger groups of friends or family who wish to share a holiday yet have their own separate accommodation nearby.
Entering the gite from the courtyard into a spacious, open plan living area with rear access to shared garden and heated above ground swimming pool (June to September), via French doors.
A fully equipped open plan kitchen, with fitted units, a full electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge freezer, toaster, coffee machine and microwave. Dining area, with seating for six.
An adjoining seating area with ample leather furniture, a large wood burning stove, a 32" flat screen television with freeview, DVD and CD player. Tiled floor downstairs benefits from underfloor central heating. Games and a selection of English books.
Allocated parking along side which is lit throughout the night.
Upstairs: Leading off the landing area, three bedrooms and two shower rooms. There are some low beams upstairs.
Bedroom One: double bed with en-suite, wardrobe, chest of drawers, two bedside cabinets, central heating radiator, fan and exposed timbers. The en-suite boasts wc, washbasin, multi-functional shower and towel rail.
Bedroom Two: twin beds, wardrobe, a chest of drawers, bedside table, central heating radiator, fan and exposed timbers.
Bedroom Three: twin beds, chest of drawers, central heating radiator, fan and exposed timbers. The family shower room: with wc, wash basin, multi-functional shower, central heating radiator and towel rail.
All our gites contain the following:
• Internet access
• Dishwasher and fridge freezer.
• Full electric cooker with ceramic hob, microwave, coffee machine and toaster.
• Flat screen LCD television with English and French TV, DVD and CD player.
• English books and games.
• Log burning stove with initial supply of logs (subsequent logs provided at cost).
• Under-floor central heating.
• Plug adapters for using English plugs.
• Hair dryer.
• Fire extinguisher and fire blanket, smoke alarm and carbon monoxide alarm.
• Foil, cling film, liquid soap, kitchen and toilet rolls, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets,
• condiments (salt, pepper, vinegar, oil).
All bed linen, towels and tea towels are provided at no extra charge. Electricity and central heating is included in the price.
For our clients convenience we have a free onsite, self-service laundry room equipped with several washing machines, ironing boards and floor sweepers. Washing detergent and fabric conditioners provided.
We also provide free of charge on request:
• cots or a toddler sized bed, high-chair, booster steps, push chairs, toilet booster seats, booster seats for dining chairs, stair gates, night lights etc.
All our gites have access to a large, shared garden; with heated above ground swimming pool (June to September), seating and barbeque facilities.
There is a selection of children's and adult bicycles and helmets for our clients use.
There is allocated parking for each gite, lit throughout the night. Guests arriving by motorcycle are welcome to use a secure garage at night.
A complimentary welcome pack is provided on the day of arrival, which includes; an initial supply of tea bags, coffee and sugar, milk, eggs, bread, margarine, cheese, fruit juice and a bottle of wine. If required additional shopping can be purchased on request. Please ask for details.
Location description
Situated between Le Mans and Tours, Les Aulnaies is in the commune of Lhomme, two kilometres from the village centre and two kilometres away from the small market town of - La Chartre sur le Loir. Situated on the Vignoble wine route ideally located for walking, cycling or exploring the local vineyards, with plenty of opportunity to purchase the local wines. Les Aulnaies is surrounded by farmland and offers high quality cottages, in which to relax and a base from which to explore the many attractions of the region; from the magnificent chateaux of the Loire valley to the spectacle that is the Le Mans 24 hour race.
